Office & Remote Work
At Lyquix, we offer a flexible work environment that includes both in-office and remote work options. This section outlines the guidelines, best practices, and requirements for working either at our Philadelphia office or remotely. Our goal is to ensure that all team members are productive, while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
Office
Only for team members located in the Philadelphia area
Access
Location: Our office is located at Industrious Philadelphia Fashion District. We have a dedicated office space within the Industrious co-working environment.
Office Hours: The office is available for use 24/7. However, be mindful that access to the office is through the Fashion District Mall, and if you need to enter the office outside regular business hours, you must use the access door on 9th Street. Please consult with Industrious on the current procedure to gain after-hours access.
Access Code: You will need a personal access code to enter Industrious, which will be provided to you during onboarding.
Lyquix Office Access: You will need the lock box code to open the Lyquix office space. This code will also be provided during onboarding.
In-Person Team Building
To promote team building, team members are expected to work from the office on Thursdays, especially to attend the team lunch. Outside of this, you may choose to work from the office or remotely.
Working at Industrious
Wi-Fi is available throughout the office. You will receive an email invite to set up your Wi-Fi.
Printers and Copiers are available for use throughout the office. Consult with Industrious on the steps to set up the printers on your computer.
Common Areas: The common areas at Industrious, such as meeting rooms, kitchen, and lounges, are shared with other companies. Please be respectful of shared spaces by keeping them clean and minimizing noise.
Meeting Rooms: There are various closed-off spaces available for in-person meetings and calls, including phone booths, conference rooms, meeting rooms, and focus rooms. Log in to the Industrious Portal to check availability and, if needed, reserve meeting rooms.
Reserved Meeting Rooms Usage
Be mindful that every month Lyquix is allotted a block of hours for meeting room usage, and excess usage incurs additional charges. Use a phone booth, focus room, or open space when your meeting doesn't require a reserved room, or consider skipping a reservation during off-peak hours.
Snacks and Beverages: Take advantage of the snacks and beverages available at Industrious.
Industrious Events: Industrious hosts various events, including breakfasts and happy hours. Participation in these events is encouraged as they offer opportunities for team bonding and networking with other professionals in the space.
Accessing Other Industrious Locations: Industrious has numerous locations across the U.S. and several international locations. Our membership at Industrious provides all team members with access to shared spaces in these locations. Please consult with Industrious if you plan to use another location.
Security and Cleanliness
Office Security: Always lock your computer when stepping away from your desk. At the end of the day, ensure that all confidential materials are securely stored and that the office is locked.
Cleanliness: Keep your workspace and common areas clean. Dispose of trash properly and clean up after using shared spaces like the kitchen and meeting rooms.
Remote Work
Workspace Requirements
Dedicated Workspace: Ensure you have a dedicated workspace at home that is free from distractions and conducive to productivity.
Internet Connection: A reliable, high-speed internet connection is essential for remote work. Aim for a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds, or higher if you are sharing the connection with others. If you experience connectivity issues, contact your internet provider or use a wired connection.
Power Supply: Make sure your workspace has a reliable power supply. Consider having a backup plan in case of power outages, such as a portable battery or an alternative work location.
Lighting and Noise: Your workspace should be well-lit to reduce eye strain and present a professional appearance during video calls. Minimize background noise by working in a quiet area or using noise-canceling headphones.
Background for Video Calls: Ensure your background is professional and free from distractions during video calls. If necessary, use a virtual background or blur your background to maintain privacy.
Computer Accessories: Ensure that you have the necessary computer accessories to enhance your productivity at home, such as monitors, keyboards, or lighting. Please contact your manager to discuss options. Lyquix supports equipping team members with the tools they need to work effectively.
Schedule and Communication Expectations
Availability: Ideally, all team members are available during U.S. Eastern Time (ET) business hours (8 AM to 6 PM), or at a minimum, have the most possible schedule overlap. Once your schedule has been agreed upon with your manager, you are expected to follow it consistently.
Changes in Location and Schedule: It is acceptable to temporarily work from a different location and on a different schedule. However, please communicate with your manager ahead of time and ensure that the change does not affect any upcoming work.
Meetings and Time Zones: Be mindful of scheduling meetings with team members in different time zones.
Check-Ins: Regardless of your location, all team members are expected to participate in daily Staff and Scrum meetings.
Security
- Lock Your Devices: Always lock your computer and other devices when stepping away, especially in public spaces.
- Secure Confidential Materials: Ensure all confidential materials are securely stored or properly disposed of when no longer needed.
Meetings Outside the Office
Only for team members located in the Philadelphia area
Occasionally, team members will be required to attend meetings outside the office, such as client meetings or other company activities.
Reimbursement policies are based on the location of the meeting relative to the Lyquix office:
Within 25 Miles: Meetings located within a 25-mile radius of the office are considered within the local commuting range. For these meetings, transportation should be arranged and paid for by the team member.
Beyond 25 Miles: For meetings or activities that take place beyond the 25-mile radius from the office, Lyquix will cover the cost of transportation, meals, and, if necessary, overnight accommodations. Team members must coordinate with their manager in advance to arrange travel and lodging as needed.
