Work Schedule

Lyquix business hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM ET.

Team members are expected to be generally available during business hours. This includes being responsive to messages and available for scheduled meetings or collaboration with teammates.

Team members have flexibility to choose their start and end times, as well as the number and duration of breaks during the workday. However, this flexibility should be exercised within reason to ensure that it does not interfere with expected responsiveness, availability, or the ability to meet work deadlines.

Time spent on personal breaks, including meals, is not considered work time.

Full-time, salaried team members are expected to work 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week on average. This means that, if needed to meet deadlines and deliverables, team members are expected to work additional hours during a given week, and in other weeks may work fewer hours to maintain the target average.

Full-time, hourly team members are expected to obtain manager approval if they anticipate or identify the need to exceed 40 hours of work during a given week to meet deadlines and deliverables.

For team members in other time zones, work schedules may be adjusted in agreement with your manager, to account for time differences.

Week 1

During your first week, you'll be introduced to who we are as a company, how we work, the team, and our clients and projects.

Essentials

How we Work

Meet the Team

Schedule 1-on-1 meetings with team members and managers. Understand their roles and ask them to walk you through one of the topics above, as well as the projects they're currently working on.

Current Clients and Projects

As part of your onboarding process, it's essential to familiarize yourself with our current clients and ongoing projects. Understanding who our clients are and what we're working on will give you valuable context for your role and help you contribute more effectively.

Take the time to review each client's background, their goals, and the specific work we are doing for them. This knowledge will help you align your efforts with the broader objectives of the company and ensure you are equipped to support our clients' success from day one.

Week 2

Team-Specific Onboarding

After your first week, you'll dive deeper into team-specific onboarding, whether you're a Designer or Developer. These documents will guide you through the specialized tools, workflows, and best practices for your role.

Day 90

At Lyquix, the first 90 days are a crucial period for new team members. This time allows you and Lyquix to determine if you're a good fit and if you have the potential to grow and contribute to the company's success.

By Day 90, you are expected to:

  • Complete the onboarding process
    • Get set up for work.
    • Demonstrate that you are familiarized with workflows, tools, and systems specific to your team.
  • Complete basic training
  • Learn and follow Lyquix processes
    • Integrate in your daily work our guidelines, expectations, and values, including project management, communication, time tracking, and security.
  • Meet or exceed skill expectations
    • Be actively working on client project tasks.
    • Have a good understanding of the status of the clients and projects you're involved in.
    • Demonstrate that your skills align with the role's requirements, as outlined in the Professional Development pages of your team.
  • Show growth potential and contribute to projects
    • Participate regularly in team meetings (Staff and Scrum).
    • Develop a productive working relationship with your teammates and managers.
    • Seek feedback, collaborate effectively, and take initiative to showcase your ability to contribute to the team's success.

Feedback and Check-Ins

Regular feedback is key to your progress during onboarding. Use Staff and Scrum meetings as opportunities to give and receive constructive feedback on a regular basis.

Don't hesitate to schedule one-on-one meeting with your manager or teammates to discuss questions or concerns.

Year 1

Beyond your first 90 days and throughout your first year, you will have 1-on-1 meetings with your manager once a quarter. During the first year, these meetings will include a complete performance review.

At these reviews you are expected to:

  • Show continuous progress in the development of your technical skills, as outlined in the Professional Development pages of your team.
  • Show awareness in other areas of development such as collaboration, communication, and project management.
  • Improve your knowledge and mastery of the workflows, tools, and systems specific to your team.
  • Demonstrate increasing understanding and application of Lyquix guidelines, expectations, and values, including project management, communication, time tracking, and security.

By following this onboarding guide, you'll be well-equipped to contribute to our team and understand the Lyquix way of working. Welcome aboard!
